MDA Basin Communities Leadership Program
What's it all about?
The Basin Communities Leadership Program is an exciting 24-month initiative focused on building leadership capacity throughout the Murray-Darling Basin communities.
This Program has specifically been developed by the Murray Darling Association to assist Basin communities during an era of unprecedented changes to our local economies, industries and natural resources; namely the evolving reliance of community economies, productivity, health and prosperity on water since the changes to water legislation by the Australian Government.
The Leadership Program will enhance selected members of each community with increased leadership skills and access to resources which will help the emerging leaders with local, community focussed projects and initiatives into the future.
What is involved?
2 Day Workshop – Presentations from industry-leading leadership development experts (Military, Agricultural, Commerce sector experience).
Representation – Guest speakers and visits by key Federal, State and local Government representatives who can draw upon your local knowledge and experiences to shape future policies.
Ongoing Support – The MDA will maintain regular contact with the community leadership candidates as they progress through development
Online resources – World-class, easy to access resources and support tools for your leadership development and ongoing efforts within the community.
When and where?
The MDA program staff will travel to 15 communities throughout the Basin to deliver this great initiative.
